Main Purpose/Job Summary
As a coordinator, you will oversee departmental administration and provide practical support

and assistance to News & Programs, Operations and Production departments.

The role will involve administrative and organizational skills and involves managing the

rota, freelancers, equipment’s, booking hotels and making travel arrangements.

As well as the senior management in the department and the Executive Office, you will also

closely work with Procurement, Finance, Legal and the Hr department on requests,

approvals, Contracts, PRF, Payments and On-Boarding for new joiners.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Booking flights and accommodation.

· Organising travel arrangements via trains/cars as required.

· Managing last-minute changes to travel requirements.

· Focusing on best practice planning to reduce costs where possible.

· Manage Diaries, type and distribute schedules, or call sheets.

· Deal with accounts and expenses.

· Sort out enquiries and other paperwork.

· Filing expenses & checking invoices for anomalies.

· Meeting and greeting guests.

· Maintaining schedules, and logging leaves for all staff.

· Logging all sick days all staff.

· Liaising with HR on general maintenance/troubleshooting of absence

management system.

· Visa applications for department employees.

· Providing monthly reports of all absences to HR.

· Liaising with HR and IT for the set-up of new hires and freelancers.

· Booking meeting rooms for departmental meetings.

· Annual press card applications for Journalists.

· Help with PowerPoint presentations for management meetings.

Picture Editor

Main Purpose/Job Summary
Picture Editor is responsible to Assembling all raw footage with camera shots either recorded or transferred packages to live, oversee the quality of progress and quality control of the project to the Alaraby TV standards.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembling all raw footage with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto videotape in preparation for inputting the computer
  • Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer
  • Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable
  • Creating an or assembly edit of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages
  • Reordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video
  • Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
  • Quality control the final product before broadcasting to reflect Alaraby TV policies and approaches.
  • Reporting on and monitoring quality assurance of sites.

Main Purpose/Job Summary 
Produce and support creative and engaging news and Programmes material to an exceptionally high standard for daily, next day or longer-term coverage news and programmes.   

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research, Write, translate and adapt items, news stories or programme material and to edit packages at the desktop 

  • Take the lead of In-House reporting for major bulletins and breaking news  

  • To keep up to date with main news stories and undertake background research and checking on factual information  

  • Flexible and prepared to take on any role required by the Producers, Senior Producers and  Executive Producers in response to the needs of the Newsroom 

  • Occasional deployment in the field for specific projects requiring technical expertise and editorial judgement

Main Purpose/Job Summary
To take responsibility and accountability as a member of the news team by contributing to the management of the daily news agenda across all platforms, driving key stories ‘on the day’ news coverage and commissioning the Assignment desk to deliver high quality content whilst managing deadlines and all resources to an exemplary high standard. You will assist the Senior Producer in leading deployments and ensure the most efficient use of resources to deliver the best possible news content. You will be fully engaged with the team in providing an efficient and comprehensive plan on both strategic and day-to-day levels. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To play a leading role in the development of 24/7 TV journalism, and to contribute to the overall shape and editorial strength of the Channel and the news content.  

  • Follow up on the risk assessment process for deployment.  

  • To deploy resources when needed
