Admin Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Purpose: 

Reporting to the Lead Admin, as an Admin Officer you will carry out and oversee departmental administrative tasks whilst working closely with Production, IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal and the Hr department on requests whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to. 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Complete administrative tasks based on the company’s set policies and procedures, ensuring adequate and efficient results 
  • To carry out daily checks for studio needs / requirements ranging from pantry supplies to stationary, to cleaning items 
  • Handling of the studio petty cash ensuring that all the studio purchases are within the approved budget 
  • Responsible for taking care of the offices and studio maintenance requests by coordinating with the landlord, and proactively seek to solve issues that may occur 
  • Arrange quarterly for the FA-FF systems check-up in Studio with Thermal Arabia 
  • Doha Programs Guest fees: coordinating with the finance team for the guest payments after receiving the details from the producers. 
  • Handling of travel arrangements for new joiners, guests, employee’s family (tickets, accommodation, transportation and quarantine if required), searching and purchasing for best available prices 
  • Organising and delegating tasks for the company driver and office runner. You will also be responsible for reviewing their overtime 
  • Handling all Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders whilst following the Purchasing policy, and creating Payment Requests upon receipt of invoice 
  • To ensure the Purchase orders sheet is always kept up to date 
  • Preparing the required Administration letters to different parties, ensuring the letter sequence sheet is up to date 
  • Help and assist in planning, researching, solving issues, and accomplishment of set objectives 
  • Receive requests related to administrative work from different departments (legal, IT, accounting, HR, Production, Management), and implement them 
  • To assist in coordinating and facilitating with responsible employees in official meetings, conferences, and events planning, inside and outside the studio 
  • Taking minutes as and when required 
  • Assist with the arrangements if an external party booked our studio or request any production services, under the approval and delegation of the Management. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Relevant experience in the production and/or television industry

Production Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Purpose

In this role, a Production Coordinator will provide practical support and assistance to production teams.  

The role will involve administrative and organizational skills.  A typical day might involve hiring studios and equipment, distributing and researching scripts, booking hotels and making travel arrangements, dealing with accounts and expenses, timing shows, keeping records of shorts and tracking continuity between shots.   

They might cue pre-recorded material, assist on location, clear copyright and get permission for music and other materials and complete post-production paperwork. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•    Attend production meetings; 

•    Help to set up the production office with the necessary supplies; 

•    Type, edit, copy and distribute scripts; 

•    Organize travel arrangements for cast, crew and production executives; 

•    Organize accommodation for cast and crew; 

•    Type and distribute schedules, or call sheets; 

•    Assist cast and crew members, sometimes running errands for them; 

•    Run errands between the production office and other departments;

The role:

We are looking for an experienced senior digital producer, who have a very strong managerial and editorial skills. He/she will be responsible for leading a team of producers and video editors to produce outstanding, digital friendly and sharp content (social videos, raw videos, contextual videos and cards) that covers current affairs and news on its wide spectrum (politics, sport, entertainment, art, etc..). His/her main responsibility will be leading both input and output on a daily basis according to the rota.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the execution of the approved daily coverage, production and publishing strategy.
    • Lead Ana Alaraby daily input and output operations on all aspects and hold editorial accountability for every produced piece of content.
    • Supervise newsgathering process, manage the morning editorial meeting, spot production worthy stories, define the editorial angle and assign stories to the producers.
    • Give editorial directions to the team, review and approve all aspects of the production (scripts, images, videos, tittles, captions, metadata, thumbnails, etc...)
    • Jump in the middle of covering, get hand dirty in producing stories when needed especially during breaking news.
    • Oversee workflow, rota, guidelines, newsgathering system and the publishing schedule.
    • Make sure the daily content is packaged to the high-end standards for each platform (thumbnails, tags, annotations, cards, description, tittles, caption, metadata, rights)

Essential skills required:

    • Excellent attention to details and take initiatives, organised and work with minimum supervision.
    • Excellent skills in creative writing in Arabic, with a language that is appropriate and relevant to the style of Alaraby TV, with no spelling/grammatical errors and exertional ability to check and review facts, images and scripts.
    • Ability to visualise data, dig deep to hunt appropriate video/image that reflects the script accurately.  
    • Excellent research skills especially in English and ability to identify in-accurate, misleading and fake sources of information.  
    • Familiar with fundamentals editorial, creative and technical aspects of social video production.
    • Sound editorial judgement and familiar with Alaraby editorial tone. 
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle production workflow with different stakeholders.
    • Hands-on Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. 
    • Have a strong understanding of evolving audience requirements and preferences for digital content.
